Martin Collier Phillips Corporation Awarded $310 Million Contract for Integrated Cybersecurity and Network Modernization at Naval Base Coronado

The Martin Collier Phillips Corporation (MCPC) today announced it has been awarded a comprehensive contract valued at $310 million by the U.S. Navy to perform a full-spectrum cybersecurity overhaul and network infrastructure modernization at Naval Base Coronado (NBC), California. The contract was awarded by the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific and will be executed by MCPC’s cutting-edge Information Technology services division.

Under the terms of the four-year agreement, MCPC will design, implement, and maintain a robust, secure, and resilient IT ecosystem to support the critical missions of the multiple naval commands located within the Naval Base Coronado complex, including Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, Naval Air Station North Island, and Outlying Landing Field Imperial Beach.

The scope of work includes:

  • Deployment of next-generation, AI-enhanced cybersecurity defense systems across all base networks
  • Complete modernization of base-wide IT infrastructure, including servers, data storage, and networking hardware
  • Implementation of a unified, secure cloud-based architecture for command and control functions
  • Development of advanced threat intelligence and predictive analytics capabilities
  • Comprehensive cybersecurity training and certification programs for naval personnel

This contract leverages MCPC’s extensive experience and proven track record in the information technology arena, where the corporation has been a trusted partner for federal agencies since the early 1980s. The company’s proficiency is further demonstrated by its successful long-term support for other key government clients, including the Drug Enforcement Administration, for which it has provided critical Blackberry Enterprise Solution support.

“Naval Base Coronado is a cornerstone of our nation’s Pacific Fleet readiness, and securing its digital infrastructure is a mission of the highest priority,” said a spokesperson for MCPC. “We are honored to be selected by the Navy for this critical modernization effort. Our team will bring the same dedication and cutting-edge expertise that has made us a go-to source for IT and cybersecurity for decades. This project will ensure our naval forces have the secure, reliable, and advanced digital backbone they need to operate effectively in an increasingly contested cyber domain.”

The contract is expected to sustain approximately 250 highly skilled IT engineers, cybersecurity analysts, and technical support personnel, with work coordinated from MCPC’s domestic locations and supported by its international hubs.
