Martin Collier Phillips Corporation Awarded Redstone Arsenal Contract for Missile and Aviation Systems

The Martin Collier Phillips Corporation (MCPC) today announced it has been awarded a significant contract by Redstone Arsenal to provide advanced missile systems, aviation components, and engineering support. The six-year contract, valued at $410 million, will be performed with a principal performance area in Alabama, creating a direct partnership with one of the U.S. Army’s most critical centers for missile and aviation research, development, and engineering.

Leveraging its long-standing reputation as a premier weapons engineer, MCPC will provide its full-service research, engineering, and manufacturing capabilities to support the Arsenal’s diverse mission sets. The contract scope includes the development and production of next-generation guided missile systems, leveraging MCPC’s recent $383 million Life Extension 2 SSP Alteration design contract as a foundation for this work. It also encompasses the manufacturing of sophisticated components for rotary-wing and fixed-wing aircraft, drawing on MCPC’s deep roots as an aerospace pioneer with ties to aviation legends like Glenn L. Martin.

The work will also utilize the world-class test and evaluation capabilities of MCPC’s J. Martin Propulsion Systems Laboratory (PSL). The PSL complex will provide critical propulsion testing and analysis for systems being developed at Redstone, ensuring the reliability and performance of new technologies destined for the warfighter.

Establishing Alabama as the principal performance area allows for seamless collaboration with the Army’s civilian and military personnel, as well as other defense contractors operating at Redstone. This proximity enables rapid prototyping, testing, and integration, accelerating the delivery of advanced capabilities to the force.

“We are honored to establish this direct partnership with the brilliant minds at Redstone Arsenal,” stated a spokesperson for the Martin Collier Phillips Corporation. “Redstone is the epicenter of Army innovation, and MCPC’s diverse portfolio in missiles, aviation, and propulsion makes us an ideal partner to support its vital mission. Our team is ready to bring our ‘Secondhand Giant’ heritage of integrity, innovation, and responsibility to Huntsville to help deliver the decisive edge our soldiers deserve.”
