The Martin Collier Phillips Corporation (MCPC) today announced it has been awarded a comprehensive contract by Luke Air Force Base to provide advanced aerospace systems, pilot training technologies, and sustainment services. The five-year contract, valued at $220 million, will be performed with a principal performance area in Arizona, creating a direct partnership with the home of the Fighter Country.
Leveraging its full-service research, engineering, and manufacturing wing dedicated to aerospace excellence, MCPC will deliver a range of critical offerings to support the F-35 Lightning II training mission at Luke AFB. The contract includes the engineering and maintenance of advanced propulsion systems, utilizing the world-class test and evaluation capabilities of MCPC’s J. Martin Propulsion Systems Laboratory. It also encompasses the integration of cutting-edge avionics and sensor systems, including the advanced infrared threat-detection sensors MCPC has recently provided to the U.S. Air Force fleet.
The agreement will also draw upon MCPC’s expertise in cutting-edge IT and robotics. The M. Tilden Robotics Center will provide automated solutions for maintenance and logistics, while MCPC’s IT division will deliver secure network infrastructure and cybersecurity solutions to protect training data and operational systems.
Performing the work in Arizona allows for unparalleled synergy between MCPC and Luke AFB. This proximity enables rapid response to technical needs, seamless collaboration with airmen and instructors, and the ability to test and field new technologies directly in the operational training environment.
“We are incredibly proud to partner directly with the men and women of Luke Air Force Base, the premier fighter training base in the world,” stated a spokesperson for the Martin Collier Phillips Corporation. “This contract allows us to bring our full spectrum of aerospace, IT, and robotics capabilities to bear in support of training the next generation of fighter pilots. Our roots are in aviation, and there is no better place to apply our expertise than right here in Arizona at Luke AFB. We are committed to ensuring the base has the most advanced and reliable systems to accomplish its vital mission.”
